Calibrachoa parviflora (Juss.) D'Arcy APNI* Synonyms: Petunia parviflora Juss. APNI*
Description: Annual or short-lived perennial herb, 5–25 cm high; branches prostrate or procumbent, glandular-hairy.
Leaves oblong-linear to spathulate, 0.5–1.2 cm long, 1–4 mm wide, apex obtuse; sessile.
Pedicels 1–2 mm long. Calyx 5–6 mm long; lobes linear-spathulate. Corolla deep pink (drying bluish purple); tube funnel-shaped, 5–9 mm long, slightly exceeding calyx lobes; limb shallowly lobed. Staminal filaments 3–4 mm long; anthers 0.5 mm long. Style 3–4 mm long, bent at apex.
Capsule 3–5 mm long, much exceeded by calyx lobes.
Flowering: chiefly spring.
Distribution and occurrence: An uncommon weed, chiefly from Newcastle and Boggabri districts, doubtfully naturalized in the Narrabri area. Native of S Amer.
