Bossiaea sericea I.Thomps. APNI* Description: Erect shrub to c. 2 metres high; stems terete, branchlets with a dense indumentum of straight hairs.
Leaves alternate, 1-foliolate; lamina 2–4 mm long, 1.5–5 mm wide; more or less circular, oblate, obcordate, broad-obovate; margins smooth or tuberculate with a pale rim; lower surface evenly sericeous, hairs white.
Flowers 5–7 mm long; pedicels 1–3.5 mm; bracts to 2.2 mm long. Calyx 2–3.5 mm long, hairy throughout or glabrous except for lobes. Petals all similar in length, yellow. Ovary stiptate, hairy 2- or 3-ovulate.
Pods 6–10 mm long with rusty hairs or a mixture of pale and rusty hairs.
Flowering: Flowers from December to January.
Distribution and occurrence: Southern Tablelands of New South Wales from the Kosciusko region to the Brindabella Mountains, and in Victoria from Mt Buffalo to Delegate River. Grows in heath, shrubland often bordering grasslands. Grows mostly above 800 m above sea level and extends into the alpine zone.
