Bossiaea cinerea R.Br. APNI* 
Description: Erect or spreading shrub to 1 m high; stems terete with spreading hairs.
Leaves alternate, opposite or whorled, 1-foliolate, ± sessile; lamina triangular to ovate or lanceolate, 5–20 mm long, apex pungent, margins recurved to revolute, lower surface sparsely hairy; stipules c. 2 mm long, reddish.
Flowers 7–12 mm long; pedicels 5–20 mm long; bracts ovate < 1 mm long; bracteoles ≤ 1 mm long, inserted on upper part of pedicel, persistent. Calyx 3–5 mm long. Petals unequal; standard red outside, orange inside and larger than orange wings and red keel. Ovary stipitate, glabrous, c. 4-ovuled.
Pod ovate to oblong, 10–20 mm long.
Flowering: spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in coastal sandy heath and sclerophyll forest; south from the Bega district.
