Bolboschoenus robustus (Pursh) Soják APNI* Description: Rhizomatous perennial. Culms 30–100 cm high.
Inflorescence a compact cluster of spikelets; involucral bracts. Style 2- or 3-fid.
Nut plano-convex or trigonous, olive-brown to very dark yellow-brown, the surface not obviously reticulate.
Distribution and occurrence: Known only from a locality on the southern margin of Lake Illawarra, south of Wollongong. Appears to be the North American B. robustus. In mud and shallow brackish water of storm drain.
