Baeckea brevifolia (Rudge) DC. APNI* 
Description: Shrub to 1 m high.
Leaves narrow-ovate to oblong, 1–3(-4) mm long, to 1 mm wide, apex ± obtuse, base ± obtuse, margins entire; sessile.
Flowers solitary; pedicels 0.5–2.5 mm long, bracteoles linear-lanceolate, keeled, 1–1.5 mm long. Sepals reddish, triangular, acute. Corolla white to pink, 4–5 mm diam.; petals circular 1–2 mm long. Stamens 9–15. Style only slightly inset into the ovary summit.
Capsule c. 2 mm diam.; seeds angular.
Flowering: spring–summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in heath, chiefly on sandstone; on the coast and ranges from Woy Woy to Milton.
