Azolla pinnata R.Br. APNI*
Description: Rhizome branched pinnately and regularly, the whole plant ± triangular in outline, usually to 30 mm long and 10–15 mm wide; roots in fully grown plants branched with small, fine side branches.
Fronds mostly < 2 mm long.
Usually found covering the surface of still or slowly moving water.
Distribution and occurrence:
NSW subdivisions: NC, CC, SC, CT, ST, NWS, CWS, SWS, NWP, SWP
Other Australian states: Qld Vic. S.A. N.T.
