Description: Erect to spreading perennial herb to 30 cm high with a woody taproot; stems ± woody and rigid at base, often climbing or trailing above, minutely scabrous with short, recurved hairs, internodes to 3 cm long.
Leaves and stipules in whorls of 6, ± erect, linear, 2–8 mm long, to 1 mm wide, apex ± acute to ± obtuse, midrib slender, lamina ± scabrous.
Flowers in terminal heads, mostly 1–3-flowered. Corolla cream or white; male flowers 2–3 mm long; female flowers 1.5–2 mm long.
Fruit 2–4 mm long, brown to black.
Flowering: mostly late summer to spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in various sclerophyll communities, north from Griffith.
