Apocissus antarctica (Vent.) Jackes & Trias-Blasi APNI*
Description: Woody climbers with new growth ± rusty-pubescent, often glabrescent with age; tendrils simple or 2-branched.
Leaves simple, petiole 1–4 cm long, lamina ovate to ovate-oblong, mostly 4–12(-14) cm long, 20–50(90) mm wide, apex acuminate to obtuse, base mostly rounded, margins toothed or serrate to entire, upper surface ± glabrous at maturity, lower surface usually rusty-hairy with prominent raised domatia.
Inflorescences congested, 1–3 cm long. Petals 1.5–2 mm long, pale yellow, pubescent.
Fruit globose, 8–12 mm diam., purplish to black at maturity.
Flowering: spring–summer(-autumn).
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in warmer rainforest; chiefly in coastal regions north from Tathra and inland to the Liverpool Ra.

Specimens with ± entire glabrous leaves and fewer domatia and unbranched tendrils are now separated as A. oblonga.
