Description: Many-stemmed herb, erect, mostly 4–8 cm high, greyish green owing to covering of long hairs.
Leaves 5–8 mm long; stipules usually c. as long as petiole, not conspicuously veined, lobes ± lanceolate, almost as long as undivided portion.
Sepals triangular, a quarter as long as fruiting hypanthium, joining together, epicalyx minute. Fruiting hypanthium 0.75–1.5 mm long.
Distribution and occurrence: Usually grows on disturbed sites, not common. Native of Eur.
