Description: Shrub, white-velvety with glabrous spines at the end of branchlets.
Leaves elliptic to oblanceolate, 7–12 mm long, 2–4 mm wide.
Heads 8–10 mm long, 5–8 mm wide; involucral bracts in series; outer bracts ovate, inner ones linear-lanceolate, tomentose with margins and apex glabrous.
Flowering: recorded March
Distribution and occurrence: Achenes with 80-90 pappus bristles. Grows on sandhills of the Murray-Darling R. system; rare, recorded last century, possibly extinct.
