Acalypha nemorum F.Muell. ex Müll.Arg. APNI* 
Description: Mostly a shrub to 1.5 m high, sometimes prostrate.
Leaves variable; lamina mostly ovate to lanceolate, 2–12 cm long, 10–40 mm wide, rarely ± circular and c. 1 cm long; both surfaces usually densely hairy, rarely ± glabrous; venation prominent, 3-veined at the base, upper surface wrinkled between veins.
Male inflorescence 2–5 cm long. Female flowers 1–3, bract c. 10 mm diam.
Distribution and occurrence: Chiefly grows in subtropical and dry rainforest in coastal areas and tablelands, a prostrate form occurs on exposed headlands; north from the Shoalhaven R.
