Acacia cremiflora B.J.Conn & Tame APNI*
Description: Bushy shrub to 1 m high, sometimes to 2 m or more high, with branches mostly ± erect or occasionally a few arching; branchlets ridged, sometimes ± terete, hairy.
Phyllodes ± coplanar with branchlet or rotated to 20–90o from branchlet, elliptic to broadly elliptic or ± circular, occasionally obovate-elliptic, 0.7–1.8 cm long, 4–14 mm wide, light to dark green-grey or green, sparsely hairy or glabrous except for hairs confined to pulvinus or extending to margin and midvein, midvein subprominent, lateral veins faint, margins mostly undulate, base oblique and asymmetric, acute or obtuse, sometiimes ± truncate, apex acute to obtuse with a mucro < 2 mm long; 1 gland to 1 mm above base.
Inflorescences 1 in axil of mostly ± reduced phyllodes; peduncles 4–18 mm long, sparsely hairy; heads globose, 18–26-flowered, 4–8 mm diam., pale yellow to cream-coloured.
Pods straight or curved, 3–11 cm long, 14–30 mm wide, leathery to firm, glabrous, occasionally slightly pruinose, margins ± flat or slightly undulate; seeds transverse; funicle filiform.
Flowering: throughout year.
Distribution and occurrence: more northerly populations grow in woodland in stony clayey loams while more southerly populations occur in Eucalyptus woodlands and open woodland-grasslands, in gravelly clay or sandy loam soils; mainly near Uarby and south to Orange, east to Yerranderie and west to Hervey Ra.
