Description: Erect subshrub to 1.5 m high, pubescence hoary, usually blue-green, stems often reddish.
Leaves with lamina ± circular to ovate or lanceolate, 1.5–6 cm long, base cordate, margins coarsely toothed, velvety.
Calyx 10 mm long, lobes wide and short, acuminate. Corolla 10 mm long, pale yellow.
Fruit 9–11 mm diam., 10 mm long; mericarps c. 10, angled.
Flowering: spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Uncommon, usually occurring as isolated plants on gravelly red soils.
