Description: Annual, glabrous or sparsely pilose.
Flowering stems to 30 cm high, branching.
Leaves with lamina 0.7–2.5 cm long, 1–2 cm wide, ternate with segments once or twice ternately cut into lanceolate or linear-lanceolate lobes. Petals 1 or 2, elliptic to obovate or spathulate, 1.4–1.8 mm long, pale yellow; nectary above middle of petal.
Achenes 2–4 mm long, very thin (laterally compressed), usually twisted when mature, margin thickened, beak triangular, 0.3–1 mm long.
Flowering: spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in intermittently moist sites on heavy soils in arid and semi-arid regions.
