Psydrax odorata f. australiana S.T.Reynolds & R.J.F.Hend. APNI* Description: Young branchlets and inflorescences glabrous, rarely subglabrous.
Leaf blades elliptic, narrow-elliptic, elliptic-oblong or slightly rhombic; lateral nerves oblique or suboblique, in 1–6 pairs, mainly 2–4 pairs with usually 2 or 3 pairs more obvious than the others and looping at margins.
Inflorescences 15–92-flowered; main peduncles usually 15–25 mm long, sometimes shorter.
Distribution and occurrence: Eastern Australia, from Cape York Peninsula, Queensland, to Hunter River in New South Wales. Along creeks and rivers, steep hillsides, stony ridges, rocky outcrops, rocky watercourses, usually in dry rainforests, also on beach dunes, on sandy, loamy clay or stony soils.
