Description: Shrub to 2 m high. Stems terete, sometimes glaucous, glabrous, densely warty.
Leaves sessile, oblong-elliptic to obovate, 13–30 mm long, 5–10 mm wide, flat to ± concave above when dry, margins sometimes tinged maroon; apex rounded, truncate or sub-acute, apiculate.
Inflorescences usually 1- or 2-flowered or rarely 3- or 4-flowered. Peduncles 0–2 mm long; pedicels 4–8 mm long; petals broad-elliptic, c. 8 mm long, white, glabrous, keel prominent and glandular; stamens free; staminal filaments ciliate towards base, usually sparsely long-pilose in upper half or rarely shortly hairy glabrous towards apex; anthers glabrous.
Cocci erect or slightly divaricate, c. 7 mm long, beak c. 3 mm long.
Flowering: Mainly spring and autumn.
Distribution and occurrence: Coastal to escarpment ranges, from Sassafras to Moruya district. Grows in sclerophyll forest, often in skeletal soil near summits of mountains
