Description: Erect to spreading shrub, young branchlets sparsely hairy.
Leaves oblong, 0.35–1.0 cm long, 1.2–2.0 mm wide, convex, with recurved margins, ± recurved, glabrous to sparsely hairy when immature, glabrescent when mature, smooth or slightly finely scabrous.
Inflorescences usually terminated by a dormant bud; flowers mostly subtended by scale leaves; pedicels 1–2 mm long, erect to spreading, sparsely to moderately hairy. Tepals 9–13 mm long, obtuse or apiculate, sparsely hairy. Ovary glabrous.
Distribution and occurrence: In dry sclerophyll forest on sandstone; north from Warialda area, also in the Severn R. Nature Reserve.
