Kunzea capitata subsp. seminuda Toelken APNI* Description: Erect shrub to 1.5 m tall, often spindly with one or few stems.
Leaves narrowly obovate, mostly 5–7 mm long, 1.8–2 (–3.5) mm wide, often folded lengthwise and ± recurved in the upper third; veins scarcely visible 3 (–5); both surfaces glabrous or rarely with few spreading hairs below; margins usually lacking tubercles.
Sepals acuminate, about twice longer than broad; free part of hypanthium and sepals glabrous, lower part of hypanthium (enclosing the ovary) with crisped or straight hairs up to 1 mm long.
Flowering: October, November
Distribution and occurrence: Usually associated with sandstone outcrops and often growing on shallow soils; recorded from open areas in woodland to forest, or in heath-like scrub.
