Hakea decurrens subsp. platytaenia W.R.Barker APNI* 
Description: Spreading shrub 1–3 m high, new growth glabrous to sparsely hairy.
Leaves ± at right angles to stem, terete, 2–6 cm long, c. 1 mm diam., rigid, mucro c. 1 mm long, glabrous.
Conflorescences axillary, clusters 2–6-flowered; pedicels c. 2 mm long. Perianth 4–5 mm long, white or sometimes tinged pink, glabrous.
Follicle ± ovoid, 20–30 mm long, 12–15 mm wide, covered in discrete warts, prominently beaked, beak c. 10 mm long.
Flowering: winter to early spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Often grows in sandy or rocky situations on the tablelands and on the Slopes, chiefly from the Pilliga Scrub south to Mendooran, and the Blue Mtns south to the A.C.T.
