Galium gaudichaudii subsp. gaudichaudii DC. APNI* Description: Rootstock to c. 5 mm diam. Stem angles slightly to moderately broadened (1/5 to 1/2 of width of faces).
Leaves in inflorescences often angled upwards, slightly elliptic or more often narrow-oblong to linear; apex with a terminal hair, more or less concolourous.
Inflorecences with cymes congested to lax, with longest peduncles 0.5–3 mm long; ovary 0.3–0.5 mm long.
Flowering: Flowers spring to early summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Occurs in south-eastern South Australia, Victoria, south-eastern to central-eastern NSW and the ACT. Grows in a range of soil types, often in shallower soils or from rock crevices, in woodland and forest.
