Euphrasia orthocheila subsp. peraspera W.R.Barker APNI* Description: Erect annual herb 18–60 cm high, much-branched, hairy with short recurved white non-glandular hairs.
Upper stem leaves linear to lanceolate, mostly 6–8 mm long, 1–2 mm wide, margins usually with 1 or 2 pairs of teeth.
Racemes usually 15–40-flowered. Calyx 2.8–4.9 mm long, scabrous. Corolla 9.5–15 mm long, yellow; tube 5.4–8.5 mm long, glabrous at base. Stamen filaments usually glabrous; anthers 1.2–1.6 mm long, connectives hairy or sometimes glabrous.
Capsule 3.4–5.0 mm long, bristly in upper two-thirds.
Flowering: November–December
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in moist open situations north from Walcha districts and west to Mt Kaputar N.P., also at Orange and possibly in Sydney area.
