Description: Herb 7–12 cm high, stems hairy with non-glandular hairs.
Uppermost leaves of main inflorescence-bearing axes usually with 1 or 2 pairs of teeth. Leaves 5.5–9 mm long, 4–6 mm wide.
Bracts and outer surface of calyx with glandular hairs, sometimes mixed with non-glandular hairs. Glandular indumentum on outer surface of calyx >0.1 mm long. Corolla 10–12 mm long, white, rarely lilac in bud, with yellow blotch on lower lobe.
Flowering: Flowers December–February
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in depressed areas of sod tussock grassland, short alpine herbfields in the Kosciusko area.
