Description: Shrub to 1 m high; branchlets slender, scarcely angled.
Leaves oblong-cuneate to spathulate, 1.5–5 cm long, 1–6 mm wide, apex rounded to obtuse and apiculate, base gradually attenuate, glabrous.
Flowers terminal or in upper axils on a short axillary shoot with few leaves; pedicel 2–4 mm long, fleshy towards the apex. Sepals 2–2.5 mm long, slightly hairy to glabrous, finely ciliate. Petals narrow- to broad-ovate, 5–12 mm long, pink to pale mauve (sometimes green in fruit). Stamens slightly imbricate, the sterile apices eventually spreading.
Cocci ± erect, c. 7 mm long.
Flowering: sporadically throughout year.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in dry sclerophyll forest on sandy soils, south from Deepwater.
