Description: Small tree.
Leaves usually 4–5 mm long.
Female cones sessile or on short fruiting branchlets occurring singly or in dense clusters on the branches and remaining after maturity; cones ovoid, 12–15 mm diam., 15–20 mm long; cone scales thick, each tapering above to an apex usually thickened by a short dorsal point, the alternate scales very much reduced; columella short, often 3-lobed.
Distribution and occurrence: Usually grows in sand near banks of streams; sporadic distribution between Boonoo Boonoo and Ebor regions of the Northern Tablelands (N.S.W.). Also known from the upper Hastings River east of Walcha. In sandy soils over granite around creeks and swamps.
