Description: Shrub 0.2–1 m high; branchlets glabrous, often reddish.
Leaves 1-foliolate, lamina narrow-elliptic to obovate or oblanceolate, 10–33 mm long, 2–10 mm wide, apex acute to acuminate, margins toothed, glabrous, often reddish on lower surface and along margins; ± sessile.
Inflorescences terminal, 2–8-flowered; pedicels 4–18 mm long; bracts caducous; bracteoles vestigial. Calyx glabrous, falling in immature fruit. Petals 6–11 mm long, imbricate, bright to mauve-pink, glabrous, not persistent in fruit.
Cocci glabrous.
Flowering: September–May.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in moist places on sandstone, north from Braidwood district.
