Description: Erect annual to 40 cm high, monoecious.
Leaves obovate to broad-obovate, to 4 cm long, apex obtuse to acute, margins entire to sinuate; petiolate.
Flowers axillary, solitary or in clusters. Fruiting bracteoles almost circular to c. 15 mm long, margins entire to toothed. A widespread colonizing species.
