Description: Shrub.
Phyllodes in regular whorls 0.5–2 cm apart, not conspicuously warty.
Heads 10–20-flowered; peduncles 5–16 mm long.
Distribution and occurrence: chiefly north from Botany Bay; rare in the Sydney area. Most populations in the Sydney region recorded in the 1890s from La Perouse, Centennial Park, Rose Bay and Belleview Hill have probably disappeared as a result of development pressures. The last Sydney record is from Botany Bay in 1911. Main extant populations occur north of Port Stephens, with a recent collection (March 2021) from Norah Head where it is rare. Grows in wet sandy heath on the coast and adjacent plateaus.
