Description: Annual or rarely biennial herbs.
Inflorescence a raceme, bracts absent. Sepals equal, erect, non-saccate. Petals clawed.
Silicula dehiscent; septum narrow; valves notched at apex, flattened, winged; seeds 5–8 per loculus.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 60 species, Eurasia. Australia: 1 species (naturalized).
