Description: Trees.
Leaves simple, toothed; stipules small.
Inflorescences cymose, terminal or axillary. Calyx lobes 4–6, small, not enlarging in fruit. Petals small. Stamens 10, anther connective produced into a short appendage. Ovary superior, 2-locular; 4 ovules in each loculus.
Fruit a drupe.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 18 species, Moluccas, New Guinea & Australia. Australia: 2 species, Qld, N.S.W.
