Description: Small to large trees, almost glabrous, with a few simple hairs, unarmed.
Leaves alternate, imparipinnate; leaflets with margins entire; lateral leaflets opposite.
Inflorescences terminal, paniculate. Flowers bisexual. Sepals 5, free. Petals 5, valvate, not persistent in fruit. Stamens 10, free, divergent. Carpels 5, ± free, each with a glandular terminal appendage; styles fused, arising terminally from carpels; stigma scarcely differentiated from style; ovules 2 in each carpel.
Fruit of 1–5 samaras, but usually only 1 develops; samara wing veined; seeds dull, brown.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 1 species, endemic Australia. Australia: 1 species, endemic.
