Description: Perennial tufted herbs with a cylindrical rootstock, glabrous.
Leaves in a basal rosette, spathulate, irregularly and sometimes deeply lobed or toothed, petiolate, the base sheathing.
Inflorescence a simple or irregularly compound umbel, 3–9-flowered; bracts cuneate, lobed. Flowers bisexual, white or pinkish. Sepals inconspicuous. Petals ovate, caducous. Stylopodium prominent, shortly conical.
Fruit ovoid, scarcely flattened but slightly grooved at the mericarp junction; carpophore persistent; mericarps equally 5-ribbed.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 2 species, endemic Australia. Australia: N.S.W., Vic., Tas.
