Description: An erect, glabrous shrub.
Leaves with petiolate, elliptic-ovate, and trinerved leaves.
Inflorescences or flower heads are corymbose, radiate. Involucre escalyculate. Florets pale yellow; ray florets with a short and narrow lamina. Style branches with short, conical, terminal appendages, and with separate stigmatioc areas.
Achenes oblong, ribbed, glabrous. Pappus of many fine, persistent bristles.
Distribution and occurrence: Lord Howe Island- 1 endemic species- Lordhowea insularis.
