Description: Shrub or small tree.
Leaves clustered, margins entire, soft-textured, petiolate.
Inflorescence a loose terminal panicle. Flowers conspicuous. Sepals narrow-ovate pubescent. Petals cohering to form a tube to above the middle, hairy on inner surface. Stamens free; anthers sagittate, much shorter than the filaments. Ovary linear, hairy, incompletely 2-locular.
Fruit a dry capsule, thick-valved; seeds numerous, winged.
