Synonyms: Hymenolobus APNI*
Description: Annual herbs, glabrous or hairy.
Leaves pinnately lobed to entire.
Inflorescence a raceme, ebracteate. Sepals spreading; petals clawed; stamens 6. Nectariferous glands 4, one on each side of the lateral stamens.
Fruit spreading, less than 3 times as long as broad, dehsicent, flattted at right angles to the septum; stigma sessile, capitate, valves narrowly winged; seeds in 2 rows, mucous, 6–12, usually 10 per locule. Radicle incumbent.
Distribution and occurrence: 5 species from Europe, North America, Chile and central Asia. 1 species naturalised in Australia.
