Flowers in few-flowered racemes, appearing basal. Sepals erect to spreading. Petals not clawed.
Fruit a siliqua or silicula, dehiscent, flattened parallel to septum; valves with midvein and a reticulum of secondary veins; seeds in 2 rows, mucilaginous when wet.
