Description: Annual herbs.
Flowers in terminal racemes. Sepals erect, the inner pair ± saccate. Petals long, clawed.
Siliqua dehiscent, somewhat flattened parallel to septum; beak seedless; valves with only midrib prominent; seeds in 2 rows.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 6 species, Mediterranean & NEast Africa. Australia: 1 species (naturalized).
