Description: Terrestrial ferns; rhizome creeping, covered with short hairs.
Stipes erect, grooved; lamina broad, triangular in outline, 3–4-pinnate.
Sori circular, marginal; indusium cup-like, formed by the fusion of the true and false indusia.
Distribution and occurrence: World: c. 45 species, America, Madagascar to Samoa & Japan. Australia: 1 species (endemic).
