Description: Small to medium-sized trees.
Leaves alternate, imparipinnate, with terminal leaflet much larger than lateral ones, rachis winged, margins of leaflets and winged rachis toothed; stipules conspicuous, broad-ovate, palmately veined.
Inflorescences paniculate, axillary amongst the leaves or cauliflorous. Flowers actinomorphic, bisexual, small. Sepals 4 or 5, fused at the base, pinkish red, pubescent. Petals absent. Stamens 8–10, alternating with nectaries. Ovary superior, 2-locular, carpels 2 with distinct styles; several ovules in each loculus.
Fruit drupaceous, plum-like, pruinose, flesh deep red; seeds mostly 2, flattened.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 2 or 3 species, endemic Australia. Australia: Qld, N.S.W.
