Description: Terrestrial ferns, rhizome covered with scales.
Fronds erect; stipe slender, scaly towards the base; lamina delicate and membranous, pinnately compound.
Sori superficial, circular, indusiate when young; indusium thin, membranous, attached at the base.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 6–18 species, temperate to subtropical regions. Australia: 1 species (native).
