Description: Fleshy perennial herbs, sometimes woody near the base, glabrous, sometimes glaucous.
Leaves 1–2-pinnate with sub-terete, fleshy segments; base of the petiole sheathing; stipules absent.
Inflorescence a compound umbel; bracts and bracteoles simple, triangular-lanceolate, deflexed. Flowers bisexual. Sepals inconspicuous. Petals obcordate, yellow or yellow-green, apex inflexed. Stylopodium conical.
Fruit slightly longer than wide, not compressed, glabrous; carpophore bifid. Mericarps with 5 ribs.
