Description: Terrestrial ferns, rhizome creeping, covered with bristly or soft hairs.
Fronds tall; stipe hairy at the base; lamina 3–4-pinnate, ± leathery, pilose to glabrescent.
Sori marginal, indusium 2-valved, with a true and a false indusium; inner indusium membranous, often lobed.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 5 species, tropical to temperate regions. Australia: 2 species, Qld, N.S.W., Vic., Tas.
