Description: Shrubs or small trees, monoecious.
Leaves alternate, entire, petiolate.
Flowers axillary, solitary or in few-flowered clusters, small, shortly pedunculate. Perianth segments 6, shortly fused. Male flowers with 3 stamens, fused into a column. Female flowers with 3-locular ovary; 2 ovules in each loculus; styles 3, short.
Fruit an indehiscent berry.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 25 species Malesia 7 Australia. Australia: 4 species, Qld, N.S.W., N.T.
Formerly in Euphorbiaceae.
