Description: Epiphytic or growing on rocks; the rhizome short-creeping, covered with scales.
Fronds dimorphic; stipe articulated to the rhizome; lamina usually simple, leathery; veins reticulate.
Sporangia covering the lower surface of the elongated, narrow, tail-like apical portion of the fertile frond.
Distribution and occurrence: World: c. 15 species, Africa, Asia, Malesia, Pacific. Australia: 1 species (native).
