Description: Terrestrial herbs, sympodial; shoots growing from a fleshy rhizome; roots few or absent.
Leaves basal and petiolate or borne on the lower half of the stem and sessile, 1 per shoot, convolute.
Inflorescence racemose, 1-flowered, terminal; flowers resupinate. Dorsal sepal free, shorter and broader than lateral sepals, hooding the column. Lateral sepals shortly fused at the base. Lateral petals free, longer and narrower than dorsal sepal. Labellum free, attached at base of column by a short claw; lamina 3-lobed, with a central band of calli from base to apex. Column lacking free filament and style; column wings completely fused to column, broad, the toothed apices extending beyond the anther apex. Column foot absent. Anther erect, parallel to the axis of the column, persistent. Pollinia 8, soft and mealy. Stigma entire. Rostellum ventral.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 2 species, Australia & New Zealand. Australia: 1 species (endemic).
