Description: Shrubs or small trees.
Leaves alternate, simple, margins toothed.
Inflorescences terminal or in upper axils, corymbose panicles. Calyx tube very short, 5-toothed. Petals 5. Stamens 5. Ovary superior, 5-locular, 5-furrowed; stigma ± sessile, 5-lobed.
Fruit a berry; seeds numerous, globose.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 1 or 2 species, endemic Australia. Australia: Qld, N.S.W.
